We recommend you take care of your new flooring with a few easy steps.
First or all, sweep your floor regularly with a soft brush. This removes dirt and grit, which can cause scratches. If you use a vacuum cleaner, take care not to scratch the floor.
Next wipe the floor with a cloth or mop to give it a good rinse. Then clean the floor with a solution of hot water and mild detergent or domestic floor cleaning solution. When the floor is sparkling clean, rinse once more and soak up any left over water.
If you notice a spot mark or spillage, always make an effort to wipe them up straight away.
Some flooring manufacturers, such as Karndean, offer their own specific cleaning kits. We recommend you enquire about these at the time of purchasing your new flooring. They usually include a mop, basic stripper, a floor protector and a routine cleaner.
If you have cushioned floors, we recommend you polish them to protect from stains and give the surface a welcome shine. But this isn’t necessary if you have an additional protective coating, such as Rhino Grip or Armstrong Rhinoguard.
